Rent The Cook Policy
As I use to say in a funny way Rent The Cook is an “eenvrouwzaak” (instead of “eenmanzaak”), actually and seriuosly, that means that this little business of mine is, de facto, me: Donatella De Finis. In the following statements I explain Rent The Cook (afterwards RTC) Policy, regarding:
1. Your requests of information/offer via the response form
2. Your personal information and RTC Privacy Policy
3. My references
1. Your requests of information/offer via e-mail or response form You can easily ask for more information or for a not binding customized offer to RTC contacting me using the response form in the CONTACT page. In both ways it is RTC Policy not to follow up anonymous requests or requests with insufficient personal information such as: name and surname, e-mail address, telephone number.

2. Your personal information and RTC Privacy Policy I have taken great pride in the relationships that I have developed with all my customers. In keeping with this tradition, also in this website I’m dedicated to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information I obtain from you with care and respect.
By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable RTC to provide you with the services you select. Whenever you provide such personal information, RTC will treat that information in accordance with this policy. When using your personal informaiton RTC will act in accordance with current legislation and aim to meet current Internet best practice.
When you supply any personal information to RTC, I have legal obligations towards you in the way I use those data. RTC must collect the information fairly, that is, I must explain how I will use it and tell you if I want to pass the information on to anyone else.
Any information you provide to RTC will only be used within RTC. Your information will be disclosed where I’m obliged or permitted by law. Also, if you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to www.rentthecook.com or www.kookles.info , RTC can use whatever information that is available to it about you to stop such behaviour. This may involve informing relevant third parties such as, your employer, Internet provider and law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.
RTC will hold your personal information on its systems for as long as you use the service you have requested, and remove it in the event that the purpose has been met.

3. My references It is my policy never to use my clients as references and here are the reasons I have made this decision:
First of all, to respect the privacy of my customers. I receive many inquiries per day and if even one in ten asked for references, my former clients would be bombarded with questions from total strangers. I consider it a breach of ethics to use the confidence my clients have placed in me this way.
I invite you to visit the websites of my competition. You will encounter lists of names of "satisfied customers." Ask yourself what this really proves? Can you be sure that these are really satisfied customers or just a list of friends of the person trying to get your account?
It may sound arrogant but it isn’t, my first and only reference is MYSELF: my character and my reputation. My website is public and so are my name and details of services, which ensure the potential customer that I am a serious person. My company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce of Rotterdam, something that can be easily checked.
I do my work with passion, devotion and professionalism. Therefore it is inconceivable for me to give my clients what is commonly referred to here as "een kat in de zak."
Our beginning relationship via the Internet needs to be based on mutual respect, some trust and a great deal of good faith. Of course it is a risk because you don't know me yet. But tell me, do you ask for references in a restaurant you try for the first time? What if I asked you for proof of your financial solvency? Such a thing would be unimaginable. When you think about it, everything is a risk and everything is relative. The real difference is the good faith principle which is sacred to me.
With regard to references see the article about Rent The Cook which appeared in the July 2004 issue of the Dutch montly magazine Midi, which was about “The 25 most fun places to hold a family party”.
Recently I have been reviewed in a prestigious Dutch Index IENS INDEPENDENT INDEX - Onhafankelijke en betrouwbare restaurantgids in the category “DELICATESSEN IENS VOOR THUIS, Culinaire Agenda 2006/2007” . Click here to see the review of Rent The Cook.
