Living here in Holland, I have been challenged by some of the obvious stereotypes of Dutch culture. It did not take me long to shed the idea that everyone walks around in wooden shoes! And I could go on this path with more examples.
The only generalisation that is really true is that generalisations hurt. Living here as an ex-pat, I no doubt come in regular contact with strange ideas with regard to my own culture especially talking about food.
The purpose of this section is to help clear up the most common stereotypes and misrepresentations about the Italian Cuisine.
